In Oz right now, here for a couple of years. Prior to this we were in London, and prior to that Montreal, which I call home now. Sorry wasn't able to make the reunion, had some prior commitments in Vancouver and Montreal. I discovered 2 new classes of antiobiotics during my PhD at UBC - got to name them too! Loloatins and Massetolides. Even hold a patent on the loloatins. There is now quite a body of work on both classes. The lolos are active against MRSA and VRE - i.e. the drug resistant bacteria present in the hospitals. A small company from BC is trying to market them, I didn't pursue working with the company (mainly because I needed to pay rent and eat...) - Jeff

Noted that Tove Larson (now Tove LeBlanc), April Banigan, and Cori-Lee Wenzel (now Cori Hillier) will be attending with their (respective) husbands. At least, I hope it's their respective husbands, or someone's in for a surprise!
Noted that Sheldon Moshansky will be attending with his (respective) wife.
Noted that Jennifer Eagle, Kenneth Edwards, Blair Finlayson, Randall Liburd, and Sarah Moores will be attending.
I thought writing "with his (respective) wife" was actually kind of funny ... something the old Sheldon Moshansky would have appreciated. Hmmph.
Noted that Tracie Elliott (now Tracie Gray) regrets she's unable to attend the dinner but promises to see you all on Friday night.
Along the same lines, Sherri Harris (now Sherri Cody) is dragging herself up to Edmonton all the way from way, way south Alberta for Friday night. So you'd better be worth it!
